Is there family early evening entertainment in Town Center?

Family fun begins at Virginia Beach Town Center’s Fountain Plaza with Melodie and Company from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. There will be dancing, stilt walkers, jugglers, and more festive fun for all ages to ring in the New Year! Don’t miss the “dance off contest” for kids under 12! Come on out and show your stuff!

Who are the celebrity hosts?

Hosts Bethany Reese of WVEC and Allen Fabijan of Sinclair Communications will lead you into a night of exciting entertainment on the countdown state as you ring in the new year!

Who are the performing bands?

WOAH! kicks off the party at the Countdown Stage on Columbus Street from 9:15-10:30.

Who is the Headliner?

We are pleased to again welcome Virginia Beach’s own The Deloreans headlining at the Countdown Stage on Columbus Street. Performing from 10:45 pm-12:15 am, they will give a memorable performance that will give you all the '80s feels as the beach ball drops to ring in 2022!

The Deloreans is a seasoned show band comprised of 6 distinct vocalists that cover the most memorable artists and nostalgic songs of the ’80s. Each band member is featured throughout the show, making this band’s most notable attribute its unmatched variety. The Deloreans are known for their dynamic ’80s costumes, unstoppable energy, and their ability to bring down the house EVERY time.

Get ready for the time of your life! We are encouraging everyone to dress in their ‘80s costumes and have a great time dancing along to the music!

Will there be street closures?

Streets for the event will be closing earlier in the day. Columbus Street will be closed from Market Street to Constitution Drive. The Countdown Stage will be assembled there as well as the VIP Tent. Central Park Avenue and Town Center Drive will also have closures. You will still have ample access to the free garage parking.

Where can I park?

Parking in Town Center is free. We have several garages and as they fill up for the evening, guests will be routed to the nearest garage with free space.

Overflow parking will be in the Bed Bath & Beyond Parking lot. We have several hotels in the area, including the Westin, Hilton Garden Inn, Hyatt, Crowne Plaza, Residence Inn, and more.

Will the restaurants be open on New Year's Eve?

The restaurants in Town Center will be open New Year’s Eve. They have some great specials and are looking forward to the event. We encourage you to eat in TC before the concert! We suggest reservations!
